Beyond the passenger car market, vehicle manufacturers are also looking for solutions to electrify their vehicles. For manufacturers of commercial vehicles, in-tech smart charging and SUNCAR are now jointly offering a complete charging interface that enables fast charging (DC charging): with the Interflow 500 system, a DC fast charging interface can be integrated into a vehicle or machine with little effort. The product is suitable for electric buses or heavy-duty vehicles as well as for so-called off-highway machines - for example construction site vehicles, mining vehicles or tractors.
The Interflow 500 has a high-current capability, a modular and cost-effective design. The product can be used as a stand-alone DC charging interface or in combination with an on-board charger that controls the charging process. The product is based on in-tech smart charging's proven Charge Control L charge controller and therefore complies with all current charging standards, as well as Functional Safety standards up to ISO26262 ASIL B.
The communication unit, current measurement and HV contactors enable charging of high-voltage batteries according to the CCS standard. The Interflow 500 communicates with the vehicle control system via the J1939 standard. The system enables charging currents of up to 500 A, which are measured and switched independently.
