Duckbill 2 485+ is a tiny ARM9 based computer in a thumb-drive format with an interface for RS-485 communication and a 24 V power input. It is intended to be set up as Ethernet to RS-485 gateway but can also be used as a small home-server for automation purposes. The default delivery option contains a software for bridging the RS-485 to Ethernet. Nevertheless the device is programmable in all common Linux programming languages.
Duckbill 2 485 is available in two different variants. Duckbill 2 485, the USB powered variant. And Duckbill 485+, powered via 24 V supply connector or USB.
Duckbill 2 485+ can be powered either by a USB power adapter, via a USB port of your router or an external 24 V power supply.
The open software approach enables comprehensive further development of software by the community.
